Join fellow museum members, museum staff, and special guests from the Oleg Kushnirskiy Russian Icon Collection to celebrate the opening of Icons: Old Believers and Their World.

Discover the Old Believer icon painters, their resistance to reforms, and the exquisite icon art that became their enduring symbol of faith and identity in this collaborative exhibition. Visitors will encounter a powerful narrative of spiritual resilience, social perseverance, and artistic flourishing that emerged from religious upheaval, social persecution, and political discord. Mingle with fellow guests and members and enjoy opening remarks with Co-Curators Justin Willson and Elliot Mackin, musical performances by Eric Christopher Perry of The Seraphim Singers, and light refreshments.
