The Icon Museum and Study Center is excited to offer free admission and family-friendly programs on Thursdays during school vacation. Get ready to explore the Museum’s collections, spark creativity, and discover a welcoming learning environment for all ages! Join us for activities in the galleries, auditorium, or outside on the terrace (if the weather is nice).
Each Thursday will feature a new theme inspired by the Museum’s collection or special exhibitions. The Museum will offer free admission all day, with drop-in self-guided tours and crafts available. Docent and Staff-led activities will be scheduled starting at 1:00 pm.
Guided Activity: Watch a gilding demo in the Conservation Lab, learn about our fanciest icons, and make a craft with real gold!
Drop-in Tour/Activity: Walk through our galleries, and you’ll see many icons have bejeweled frames and decorations. Visitors can drop in all day and decorate frames using items from a craft supply buffet!
