DESCRIPTION:Free. No registration required. \nGuided Activity – 1:00 pm\nDrop-in Tour/Activity – all-day \nThe Icon Museum and Study Center is excited to offer free admission and family-friendly programs on Thursdays during school vacation. Get ready to explore the Museum’s collections\, spark creativity\, and discover a welcoming learning environment for all ages! Join us for activities in the galleries\, auditorium\, or outside on the terrace (if the weather is nice). \nEach Thursday will feature a new theme inspired by the Museum’s collection or special exhibitions. The Museum will offer free admission all day\, with drop-in self-guided tours and crafts available. Docent and Staff-led activities will be scheduled starting at 1:00 pm. \nGuided Activity: Watch a gilding demo in the Conservation Lab\, learn about our fanciest icons\, and make a craft with real gold! \nDrop-in Tour/Activity: Walk through our galleries\, and you’ll see many icons have bejeweled frames and decorations. Visitors can drop in all day and decorate frames using items from a craft supply buffet! \n  \nThis program is supported by grants from the Mass Cultural Council and the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. \n
