DESCRIPTION:During the month of July\, enjoy free admission every Thursday. Family-friendly drop-in activities will also be available throughout the day. Come explore the galleries and cool down with us! \nWriting in Color \nExplore the symbolism of colors used in icons and the importance of getting the tone and color exactly right. Experiment with creating colors and tones using a paint similar to what is used by iconographers\, using gum arabic and pigments; participants will be encouraged to make different tones and create a monochromatic painting that conveys an emotion.
