DESCRIPTION:Free. No registration required. \nSelf-Guided Tour – all-day\nGuided Activity – 1:00 pm \nThe Icon Museum and Study Center is excited to offer free admission and family-friendly programs on Thursdays during school vacation. Get ready to explore the Museum’s collections\, spark creativity\, and discover a welcoming learning environment for all ages! Join us for activities in the galleries\, auditorium\, or outside on the terrace (if the weather is nice). \nEach Thursday will feature a new theme inspired by the Museum’s collection or special exhibitions. The Museum will offer free admission all day\, with drop-in self-guided tours and crafts available. Docent and Staff-led activities will be scheduled starting at 1:00 pm. \nSelf-Guided Tour: Many icons feature wild and fantastic beasts\, some familiar to us and others not. This self-guided tour will allow families to learn about the different animals depicted in our icons and what they represent. Grab a hand out guide at the front desk. \nGuided Activity: Iconographers use pictures to tell stories. Join Museum staff member\, Anna Farwell\, in creating an image(s) of your favorite animal or pet. \n  \nThis program is supported by grants from the Mass Cultural Council and the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area. \n
